i losted my job in 8/2/2011 i got so behind my bills i just got a job th 12/12/2011 but my truck was getting repo so my boss paid for it not to get repo i have to pay my boss 500 every 2week my lightd got turned off so my check went there i have 3 kids 2 are handycap a 24 yr old girl has a mind of a 10 yr old my son is 23 has a mind of a 4 yr old my 16 yr old is very good son makes good gra at school but its so sad to tell my kids i cant get them anything this yr i been a mother and father to my kids its hard but im doing the best i can please help this yr

 in response to mommy A...   this year, we gave meaningful ornaments as gifts instead of presents..my kids picked out an ornament for special people in their lives..the stores are mostly 70 percent off right now on many christmas items...kohls, joanns and other craft stores and Kmart..if your bf has a favorite team or hobby your son could pick one out and give to him.. I found a deer ornament that was 9 dollars marked down to 1.24 at joann's and gave from my kids to their uncle who hunts..look around and best of luck!

I am sorry to hear about your husbands illness...i will pray for a miracle...i know they exist...my youngest grandbaby wasnt supposed to live past delivery..she was born with a brain deformity...THEY said she would be a vegetable..wouldnt smile or anything...THE DEVIL IS A LIE...she lived 8 MONTHS...she laughed she cried and remained in our lives until December 29, 2008...when she went to be with my grandparents in heaven....so I know that miracles do happen !!! I am the mother of six wonderful boys ages 16, 14, 11, 9, 6 & 2. And my husband and I are having a very hard time this year and are in need of help to get gifts for the boys this year. In March of this year we had a house fire and did not have insurance. We lost everything and have been trying to recover from that loss but my husband has leukemia and is unable to work so its been very hard. Everyone got out of the fire safely but out was very close. Two of the boys were still in the house when I thought everyone was out..at first I noticed my 9 year old was in there so I went back in for him and almost didnt make it out with him, my hair got burned and slippers were melting on the bottoms..and when I finally got him out I realized my 6 year old was still in the house and I knew I wouldnt make it to get him out I was already ready to pass our from smoke inhalation and I started screaming my babys in the house still and my 3 oldest boys tried to run in I grabbed the youngest two but my oldest pulled from me and ran in. He went in and got my 6 year old out by himself. If it wasnt for him I would have lost my 6 year old in the fire. I am so proud of him and can't stand the thought of not being able to give my boys a Christmas this year after them losing everything in the fire. We also found out 2 months ago that my husbands leukemia is getting worse and I just want him and the boys to have a good Christmas this year. Hes getting very depressed because hes not able to provide gifts for his boys this year. And not knowing how long he has I hate the thought of what Christmas morning will be like this year if we do not find a way to give them a Christmas. Hi , I live in oak island nc we just moved less than a week ago from our old house in fayetteville due to some really unforunate events. My husband and I have tried to get gift for the past two months but with all bills and saving for us moving havent help not to mention I was the only one working at the time cause I needed him to watch the four kids cause I couldnt afford a babysitter. Now we are here in oak island hes suppose to be starting his new job soon but its not going to be in the correct time to get a pay check and make a christmas for collin colton phoenix and autumn. I gave birth to a precious miracle baby 2 years ago. He is the most wonderful boy a mother could ask for. Due to medical negligence, he suffered a brain injury during his birth. He has hypotonic cerebral palsy and severe developmental delays. He has therapies (physcial, speech, occupational, developmental and ABA every week. He sees many specialists regularly. As a result of his special needs, cannot work outside my home. He receives SSI in the amount of $698 per month and we receive $367 per month in food stamps. That is what we must live off of. I always figure out a way to meet his needs and make sure he is well cared for and nutritionally fed. What is breaking my heart is that I have no way of providing him with Christmas gifts or a Christmas tree. Even the concept of Christmas is above his ability to understand at this point but I feel it is so important to develop consistency and customs for him to have a solid foundation. Also, he LOVES the pretty lights He is non-verbal. He understands more of what you say than he is able to communicate. Even though we work with him, he cannot speak or do signs for what he wants or needs. It is a daily puzzle for me to figure it out. No he doesn't NEED Christmas presents and no we do not NEED a Christmas tree. He is such a joy to me and some days are harder than others but I just want to do all I can for him. If you are in a position to help me make this Christmas wish happen, I would be forever grateful! By the way, I am very skilled with a computer and if you know of any legitimate work I could do from home, I would be thrilled to have the opportunity.
